SN Connectors

The SN connector, which combines ‘best-in-class’ packing density with carrier-grade performance and dependability, is the pinnacle of Base-2 connectors. The SN gives network operators the option to densify their current legacy infrastructure while simultaneously providing an upgrade route to 400G and beyond because it was designed and optimized for next-generation traffic speeds.

The SN connector, a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) duplex optical connector with much smaller exterior dimensions than the industry-standard LC connector, uses the same tried-and-true 1.25mm ferrule technology. Network operators benefit from a threefold improvement in packing density over the whole network as a result of the smaller footprint.
